The Creation of The Exile Riders;

The Exile Riders Motorcycle Club, (E.R.M.C.) was founded and created in February 2005 by two Riders. It is a Motorcycle club for active and retired Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters. This Public Servant Motorcycle Club is for men only. We are a Public Servant Motorcycle Club following a way of tradition that many other Law Enforcement Motorcycle Clubs respect and choose to follow. A note to the administrators, a three-piece patch Motorcycle Club means members must earn their patches, they are not merely bought and then sent to him in the mail. To join this Club there is a prospect period. We do not want fair weather riders or those who merely buy their motorcycle for a garage decoration. Selective growth is the key.

We ride in memory of our fallen brothers who have been killed or murdered while in the line of duty and to those Public servants who have been wrongfully terminated because of false allegations we support you. Some administrators forget there is the “Police Officer Bill Of Rights.” And to those public servants who have taken their own lives, Rest in Peace.

We respect the history and traditions set forth by generations of Law-abiding Motorcycle Clubs who have come before us and to those Public Servants who wear and earn their three-piece patch, ride free.

When we represent our Club while off duty we do not forget who we are. You will not see certain patches or other insignias upon our vest that would indicate that we are hypocrites.

This Motorcycle club is our support group and extended family to each other. Riding our Harley’s is our lawful outlet. Some administrators ask, “Why do Officers desire to be a part of Law Enforcement Motorcycle Clubs?” “Why would they need such an outlet?”

Here are some answers:

  • Law Enforcement ranks #1 in divorce, heart disease, hypertension, suicide and diabetes.
  • The average life expectancy for Law Enforcement Officers is 57 years old, compared to 71 years of age for the population as a whole.
  • Three out of four rookie patrol officers who are married will be divorced within four years. Some Public Servants join baseball teams, bowling leagues or golf but for those of us who ride Harleys and desire a stronger bond and brotherhood outside of the workplace, we join Motorcycle Clubs. It is that simple.
